Select reference standards before recording measurements that depend on them.
Select standards
- Open the calibration hub.
- Open Reference standards.
- Select the standards actually used.
- Associate each usage with the measurement sets it supports.
- Review capability, valid range, calibration state, restrictions, and eligibility on the performed date.
- Save the usage evidence.
Metra evaluates organisation ownership, calibration validity, capability coverage, traceability, and restrictions. Blocking findings must be resolved. Authorised warnings remain visible with their acknowledgements.
If you arrived from procedure execution, use the return action to continue the same procedure step. Changing usage after dependent evidence was created can make later evidence stale and require recalculation.
Searching for another reference standard preserves your current selections, supported measurement sets and unsaved reasons. Select Save reference standards to retain all changes together. A failed search leaves your working copy available.
Confirm conditions of use
For each condition, record satisfied, failed or not confirmed, together with the observation or supporting evidence reference. Satisfied conditions require evidence. Failed or unconfirmed conditions prevent ordinary approval but may still be recorded to preserve what happened. A universal prohibition remains blocking; informational instructions remain visible.
Any existing controlled exception still requires its existing override permission, a recorded reason and independent final review. Saving evidence does not approve an exception. Unsaved selection changes are protected when leaving the page.
Use a reference standard across a group
In a group calibration session, record a shared reference choice through the procedure's Shared steps when the approved method permits it. Select the actual standard, capability band and approved source calibration, and record the conditions of use. Metra assesses separate reference usage for every participating device; a shared selection does not establish blanket eligibility.
Review each device's readiness and resolve device-specific findings through its normal reference-standard workflow. A failed or withdrawn device retains its own history. Corrections require the appropriate new evidence and review; changing one reference choice does not silently update approved individual results.
