Plan internal work and reports

Record optional production requesters, recipients and departments without a customer workflow.

Before this guide: Create a work order

Choose Internal work — our organisation in Work recipient. Customer and client-site fields are not required. Add an optional Internal requester, Internal recipient or Department when that helps production colleagues identify the work. These are bounded text fields, not a personnel directory or department catalogue.

New work-order calibration drafts inherit the saved internal context. Changes to the order affect future work only; review existing drafts separately. The approved work can produce an internal report through the existing controlled output route. Internal wording does not bypass technical review, evidence requirements or controlled approval.

Identify the actual place of work separately. A production requester does not determine whether work is performed in a laboratory or on-site. Review the recipient details before submitting: they are retained with the work and its output.

Customer and site choices reload for the selected organisation. If the lookup fails, retry it before choosing a customer; entered recipient details remain available for review. Switching to internal work removes the customer relationships and leaves the internal recipient fields available.
